My Story

My name is Claire and I am the owner of Best Paw Forward Kent. It has been a dream of mine ever since I was a little girl to work with animals. We had many family pets growing up including goldfish, hamsters, rabbits and a cat. I was always bringing home injured wildlife and as a family we would either nurse them back to health or take them to a local vets for treatment.  After 20 years working in the financial industry in London followed by a move to the countryside it was time to make the dream become a reality! I live in Wouldham with my son and our 3 rescue dogs. In my spare time I can normally be found running with my dogs and I am a member of our local canicross club. We attend and compete at events all over the country and my dogs absolutely love it!​​

    Claire is really gentle, kind and loving with our dog, she takes her on lovely long walks and also pops in to check on her, feed her and give her treats when we are working long shifts. We receive photos and updates to keep our mind at ease so we know she's okay, but we already know she is being well looked after and cared for, the pictures speak for themselves! Claire is also very accommodating and will help out where she can. We highly recommend her services!

    Our 15 month old French Bulldog absolutely LOVES Claire. I was a little nervous to hand over our allergy suffering, restricted diet, zero recall, needy pup to someone we didn't know but Claire quickly put our minds at ease with her knowledge and advice. I really should have just considered the positives that Claire could give him. Hes better with doggy socialisation, his recall has improved, he has his own special treats, he gets to sniff lots of new places and comes home a very happy and shattered pup! Could not recommend Claire highly enough!

    It is clear Claire has a real passion for dogs. She recently walked my adolescent pup who can sometimes be challenging. She was very professional and gained all the relevant information to ensure that his best interests were at the forfront of the walk style she provided for him.

    She also tailored a separate walk for my older dog so she could get out and have a midday stretch for her legs.

    I will be recommending Claire without hesitation to others that are looking for a similar service.
